More good news from a week in which Tata Fellows can’t seem to stop winning awards.
In an announcement on Earth Day, USAID’s Securing Water project awarded first place in their Desal Prize competition to a joint team from the MIT Tata Center and Jain Irrigation of India.
The team is led by Tata Fellow Natasha Wright and MIT Assistant Professor Amos Winter.
Their solar-powered electrodialysis system for village-scale clean water access was judged the most cost-effective, energy efficient, and environmentally sustainable desalination technology being developed.
