Eric Adams is a Senior Research Engineer in MIT’s Dept. of Civil and Environmental Engineer and Director of the department’s Master of Engineering Program. His areas of expertise include water quality modeling and the design and environmental evaluation of effluent disposal systems. He holds degrees from MIT (Ph.D., 1975; SM, 1972), and Harvey Mudd College (B.S., 1970).
Along with colleague David Langseth, Eric Adams will be supervising a team of three Master of Engineering students in exploring options to optimize the management of organic Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) in India. Options to improve both aerobic (composting) and anaerobic digestion will be explored. Work will be performed in collaboration with the A2Z group, which has substantial MSW operations in India, using either their facilities in Kanpur or Muzaffarnagar.
