John is a Master’s student in the Building Technology Program at MIT and enjoys tackling challenging problems that require multi-disciplinary approaches.
He received his Bachelor’s degree from Mechanical Engineering at MIT, focusing on high performing buildings and improving pre-construction energy utilization. He then worked for an environmental and engineering consulting firm evaluating new technologies and equipment in situ.
John holds a Foundations of Mission Critical Infrastructure Certificate from DC Professional Development, and is a Certified Energy Manager under the Association of Energy Engineers. His current research with Dr. Leon Glicksman aims to produce a thermally autonomous low-income home using currently-available technologies and field-proven techniques.
