Nikhil is a Master’s student in the Technology and Policy Program. He received a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where he studied robotics and advanced manufacturing methods.

Prior to MIT, he worked for two years as an engineer in a consumer goods manufacturing firm in India. He is passionate about developing technology for resource constrained communities and is currently working with Dr. Chintan Vaishnav on a soil health recommendation system for farmers. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books and taking long walks.
