Susan Silbey, Leon and Anne Goldberg Professor of Sociology and Anthropology, is most well known for her work on the meanings of law in everyday life, leading her work in many directions. Her current research projects include a study of legal regulation of laboratory science, education and careers of engineers, and online education. With Aruna Ranganathan, she is conducting a study of labor conditions and innovations in India.
